Well, the latest news is the new website. We hope you're liking what you see so far; keep calling back to see updates on gigs, news and reviews.

Band Guitar Quota Shoots Skywards

Some sneaky guitar purchasing - Simon has got a new Eastwood Stormbird (their version of Gibson Non-reverse Firebird).

Stuart unveils his new Classic Player Strat this weekend on our tour of Huddersfield and Rochdale. Great guitar, great player!

Barge Action

We're going to be appearing a lot here in the next few months, whether hosting Jam Night or gigging at the weekends.Always keen to see new people down here. If there's anything you'd like us to play, get in touch.....

Lee's Drum Show

Rehearsals are well under way for this great event....Some new songs learnt, a couple of which we can use in our band setlist ...

Lee's Drum Show

Well, time to catch up on web stuff, starting with thanks from Lee and Collette for a great evening at the sports club. Some great playing on the night from Lee's students. Thanks also to First Floor Music for doing the sound for us again. Well done!

18th May, 2010....Barge News

Just HAVE to mention a blinder of a gig last Friday at the Barge. Was it something to do with people having a bank holiday ? Don't know, but nobody wanted us to stop and some members of the audience became loud and silly. This also applied to the band , I'm afraid. Ian was seen to move and wave his bass about, which is in direct breach of the Bass Players code of Conduct, Item 3, Paragraph 6, which clearly states...

" All players of bass guitars shall at no time during a performance display emotion, or show any interest in what is happening around them "

Going back to the recent gigs, some of our new material has been well received--The Killers, Queen and Rainbow stuff, as well as our version of Nutbush. It's a dog to sing, though, and needs free lager to get the voice box going.

Don't Read This, Wendy....

Stuart turned up to the aforementioned gig on Friday with a very tasty cherry sunburst Les Paul.He simply has to stop this behaviour.

Robin Trower Gig 12th Sept

Fancy coming to Holmfirth with the band to see this total legend?

3rd Sept 2010.... Summer Update ...

Time to get up to speed after our summer break. Stuart's been in France working on his perma tan, while we've all been relaxing here. Anyway, nice to see a recent increase in live music in the upper valley. Jack's House in Todmorden have started live bands at the weekend, and the Bare Arts Brewery have also been featuring live shows on a Saturday from time to time. It's Todmorden's very own micro brewery and, if you like real ale, you need to go there very soon.

We will be appearing at the newest music venue, formerly the Black Swan, now called....The Polished Knob. Naturally, having done more than my fair share of this over the years, I couldn't resist getting us a gig there.

So, on Saturday 18th Sept, we will be making what is known in the biz as a Triumphant Homecoming Gig. See you all there.

Sunday 19th Sept 2010......Hectic or What..

Had a great weekend: first at the White Hart in Burnley. New venue and lots of enthusiasm here. Looks a bit dingy from outside, but good layout and very helpful staff meant a really good atmosphere. Plus an immediate return booking...

Then on to the Polished Knob in Todmorden last night. Or, as it's becoming known to those in the know....The Knob. Great to have a proper music venue at last in Todmorden. We had a top time, the beer flowed like wine, and they loved it. Another return booking on the 27th November. And I have to say that Tosh did an amazing job on drums last night. Well done, mate, and thanks.

25th Sept 2010 .....Welcome aboard, Matey..

And following on from the success of last week, we've decided to offer Tosh the drum stool on a permanent basis. He has a different playing style to Lee, and it seemed to gel with us all. We certainly got positve feedback from the audience.

22nd October 2010...Facebook stuff

That's right. You did actually read that. Sime has started a Facebook page for the band; hopefully keeping you all in touch with the latest trivia and insight into the daily lifestyles of the rich and famous. What is it really like to be so well known that you can't just pop into Morrisons for a family bag of Revels ?

Here goes....

4th December 2010...Facebook stuffed

I don't think so... Couldn't believe the amount of boring shite posted by otherwise sane and lovely people. It did get me back in touch with my ace guitarist mate Traff from school days, though. So, sorry everyone for being a miserable get, but I just don't care what you had for tea or that you're annoyed with the coffin dodger driver in front of you.

4th December 2010...

Time for one of my now legendary round ups of what's been going on. A double header last weekend at the Polished Knob and Red Rooster brought us 4 return bookings. A great laugh at the Knob on Saturday, where we played Crazy Nights by Kiss and Local Boy in the Photograph (Stereophonics) for the first time in public.

Stuart has spent a lot of time sorting out the PA, and after one or two snags, we now have a 2000 Watt system which means the quality of our live sound is superb. Again, on Sunday at the Rooster, we had loads of positive comments about our sound. Take a bow that man!

During our second set, it began to snow, and I thought I was going to be living every man's dream---snowbound in a real ale pub, unable to get to work on Monday morning. However, it wasn't to be. We went down well there ( first time) and will be back in September. Plus, the beers in there are amazing. Why don't we get a driver/ roadie?
